  Travel

The National Federation of Young Farmers Clubs (NFYFC) runs an International Travel programme called DISCOVERY. Every year members travel to a wide range of countries like Australia, Norway and South Africa, for anything from 2 weeks to 6 months.

DISCOVERY opportunities are listed in the autumn edition of the members' magazine 'Ten26', (which is mailed directly to all members), and members can apply for those they are interested in through their county office. Applicants usually have to attend an interview to secure a place on the travel programme. For more information on current trips and availability visit the NFYFC website.

Hosting

Part of the discovery programme involves 'hosting' Young People from similar organisations abroad, who are visiting the UK. Each county take turns to play host to one or more visitors, by providing accommodation, entertainment etc for about a week and in this way visitors get to experience day to day life in this country while members get to learn about another country overseas and make new friends
